This article was published in the Allred Family Newsletter #87, Summer 2011, page 10. At that time, per Dawnell Griffin's research, Stephen's lineage was Stephen, Isaac, John, John, Solomon born 1680 England. However, more recent research by Larry Cates shows the correct lineage is: Stephen, Isaac, James, Thomas, Solomon born 1680 England. Click here to read Larry's research report on this family.
To my knowledge, no one knows why the name changed from Allred to Allread. If you know why, please contact me!
