Our wonderful Allred cousin Linda Isom passed away February 26, 2024. Linda attended a number of our Reunions and shared the violin that was once owned by her ancestor, Isaac (son of James) Allred. Linda shared with us the wonderful story of how she and her sister rescued the old violin and eventually had it restored. Linda was a concert violinist and was able to return the old violin to its original sound. She researched and found the original tune when Issac played, "A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief" for Joseph Smith and others. Linda is a wonderful cousin and friend and she will be missed.
The following is what has been put out by her family.
"Hello friends and family, as mom's final day ebbs ever closer, we want to collect photos and make a memory photo book. Please email them to: "Celebratingfamily@ourskylight.com." We would also like to collect any stories (good/bad and the ugly) you have of mom. Please email those to: Mamastowe45@gmail .com
We are all doing well. Mom will be cremated so there won't be any viewings. We are finalizing things today as follows: March 2nd Chapel at 3400 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas. 10a - l11a - Celebration of Life Service. 11a - 12p - reception for visiting and displays of her life in the cultural hall.
Mom's favorite color was green so we're asking everyone to wear anything green. We are working on a live feed for the service. Once I have that information I'll send it your way"
