May 14, 1822                    On Petition of John Maxwell and others praying that a road may be opened beginning on the Hamilton road at the N. W. end of Andrew Wood’s land thence by James Morton’s still house thence to Ovid Boon’s mill and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Board that the pendency of said petition had been duly advertised it is therefore ordered that John Charles, Thomas Allred and William Cox be appointed to view said proposed road and report to the next meeting of the Board.  Complete Copy of Commissioner’s Records of Wayne County, Indiana 1811-1824; pg 163.
