This is pix of my mother as a small child (Virginia Anita Pope Bailey (1917 - 2011) who got Spanish Flu in 1918 Pandemic...she survived; her dad died of Spanish flu.my mom is with my great grandmother, Lougany Allred Owens (born in Alabama, 1854 - 1950). Lougany...Solomon Brown Allred b. Alabama (1830-died unknown in Civil War 1st Sgt) ...Nathan Allred (born Knox Co. TN 1811 - 1900)...Thomas Allred (1771 - 1858)...Solomon Allred (1712 - 1782) ....Solomon Allred (born 1680 England). I had many summers visiting my grandmother and grandmother..Lougany was married for many years to James Alexander Owens, a Disabled civil War veteran & Methodist circuit rider minister. They met at brush arbor camp meeting.   We called her Grandma and I have many precious memories of her.
