This Indenture made the twenty

second day of March between

Joseph Allred and Emily Allred (his wife) of

Hanceville Station H. N Ala RR in the county

of Blount and State of Alabama of the first part

and William Covant of the same place of the

second part. Witnesseth that whereas said parties

of the first for and in consideration of the

sum of forty six dollars and eighty seven and

a half cents hath bargained and sold & by these

presents doth grant & convey to the said party

of the second part his heirs & assigns forever

all that claim certain piece or parcel of land

lying & being in the county of Blount & State

of Alabama and which is known & described

as follows to wit:  commencing from a stone

at the SW corner about eight foot from the S&

W R.R. right of way running east 70 yards then

north 121 yards and 2 feet then west 70 yards

then south 105 yards containing one and nine six

tenth of an acre more or less in Sec 29 TnR

SW together with all & singular the tenements

hereditaments and appurtenances & all the Es

tate title & interest of the said parties of

the first part therein and the said parties of the first

part doth hereby covenant & agree with the said party

of the second party that at the time of the delivery

hereof of the premises of the first if the law

ful owner of the premises above granted & seized

thereof in fee simple absolute & that he

will warrant & defend the above granted prem

ises in the quiet & peaceable possessions of the

said party of the second part his heirs and

assigns forever. In witness whereof we have hereunto

set our hand and seals this 22nd day of March

1875
