This indenture made and entered into this the twenty eighth day of February
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty nine between
Lemuel Allred and Sarah Allred his wife of the County of Blount and
State of Alabama of the first part and Andrew Allred of the County and
State aforesaid of the second part Witnesseth the said party of the first
for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred and sixty dollars
by the said Andrew Allred the receipt whereof whereby acknowledged
___ bargained and sold unto Andrew Allred a certain tract or parcel
of land to wit the South East quarter of the South West quarter of section
three in Township Twelve of Range One East in the District of said
subject to sale at Huntsville, Alabama containing Forty acres and
Eighty hundredth of an acre situate lying & being in Blount County
in the State of Alabama to have & to hold the said tract of land
with its appurtenances unto the said Andrew Allred his heirs
assigns forever and the said Lemuel Allred & Sarah Allred his wife
& the aforesaid tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances etc.
unto Andrew Allred his heirs & assigns forever and the said Lemuel
Allred & Sarah Allred his wife the aforesaid tract or parcel
of land with its appurtenances unto Andrew Allred his heirs
and assigns Executors &Administrators will warrant and forever
defend in testimony whereof the said party of the first part
have hereunto set their hand & affixes their seals day & date
above written

Personally appeared before me John Anderston
one of the Justices of the Peace for County aforesaid
the above named Lemuel Allred and Sarah Allred who acknowledged
that they severally signed sealed and delivered the foregoing deed
on the day & year therein mentioned to the aforesaid Andrew Allred
Given under my hand and seal this the 28th day of February one

Personally before me John Anderston
a Justice of the Peace aforesaid County
came the above named Lemuel Alred who on in private
examination a part from her husband acknowledged that she signed
sealed & delivered the foregoing deed as her voluntary act freely and
without voluntary of her own act without any fear or threat or compulsion of her
said husband on the day and year therein mentioned to the aforesaid Andrew
Allred. Given under y hand and seal this 28th day of February one
thousand eight hundred and forty nine.
